I now offer Medir, Tchankaya, and lavoro oboe tube cane
I have been a fan of Lavoro tube cane for some time. I find it easy to work with, consistent ,and not to extreme in any dimension. I am happy to expand my catelog to offer Tchankaya and Medir oboe cane as well. Medir cane is grown in Spain and has been a staple in the U.S market for many years. It tends to be medium-hard, gouges and scrapes smoothly and produces resonant reeds.
Tchankaya is grown in Turkey and has impressed me so far in terms of quality. I would describe it as medium-hard, The color seems to be a little darker visually than many other brands upon being gouged. Some people associate a darker color with higher quality.
I will try to update the descriptions as I work more with each brand.
Choose from 2 different gougers
I offer gouged cane processed on 2 different gougers.
